Process Safety Management - Fundamentals

Process Safety Management is a key leading indicator for plants which are exposed to hazards as a result of their operations. These hazards include flammable and explosive materials, high pressure, high and low temperatures, contaminants and toxic substances.

Description

This interactive 2 day course is designed to enhance PSM awareness so as to drive down the incidence of lagging indicators, such as Demand on Safety systems and minor LOPC, which lead inexorably to damage, injury and fatality. The course will cover the various aspects of process safety, helping delegates to understand the importance of process and personal safety as well as the need for effective reporting and follow-up of process safety incidents and near misses.

The tutor, Angus Keddie, is a Wilde associate with over 30 years industry experience holding high level process safety, technical, operations, proposals and training positions. He utilises PowerPoint slides, videos, workshops, case studies and Turning Point polling to both engage and motivate delegates.
