Creo Generative Topology Optimisation (GTO)
Generative Topology Optimisation optimises the distribution of material within a defined domain, giving you a design that reduces excess material without sacrificing strength. Driving the creation of lighter and less expensive parts. Designs can be generated that are suitable for traditional manufacturing processes like casting and machining as well as for additive manufacturing.
Description
Introduction to GTO Workflow, Further Geometry Constraints, Creating a GOT Model/ Using Generative as a Guide. The class is run in two sessions of 3 and 2 hours.
Agenda
Module 1 – Introduction to GTO Workflow.
We will look at an overview of the workflow in GTO on an additive manufacturing example.
Module 2 – Further Geometry Constraints.
You will gain an understanding of the different geometry constraint options and how to apply these depending on the preferred manufacturing method.
Module 3 – Creating a GOT Model/Using Generative as a guide.
You will create a model from scratch using multibody design so that is ready for use in GTO. We will then explore how we can use GTO as a guide to inform our design decisions.
