Creo Simulation Live

This course is designed for Creo users who want to incorporate the use of simulation early in their design cycle through the power of GPU solving. Delegates will be introduced to performing studies in Creo Simulation Live covering structural, fluid, thermal and modal physics. Course content is flexible to suit your simulation requirements with time set aside to discuss specific needs and potential applications.

Description

This one-day course combines overview lecture content with guided demonstrations. It is designed to take experienced Creo users through the basics of computational fluid dynamics and demonstrate how Creo Simulation Live (CSL) can be used to quickly evaluate a part's or assembly's fluid flow, heat transfer or structural response characteristics.

CSL is a great tool for rapidly generating results and comparing multiple design iterations. Its use is aimed at design engineers, rather than requiring expert analysts.

On completing this course, users will have a good understanding of the fundamentals of structural, heat transfer and fluid flow simulations, and the benefits of CSL for upfront simulation.

Agenda

Course content is customised for the delegates needs and will vary depending on the application. A proposed agenda can cover the following

Module 1. Background & Simulation Basics Overview

A presentation which places CSL in the wider context of simulation and numerical methods.

Module 2. Fluids Simulation Basics & Workshop

Coving the fundamentals of fluid dynamics and key considerations, this is followed by a hands-on workshop related to a relevant industry.

Module 3. Structural Simulation Basics & Workshop

An introduction to the fundamentals of structural mechanics and key considerations when applying boundary conditions and loads. This is followed by a hands-on workshop related to a relevant industry.

Module 4. Thermal Simulation Basics & Workshop

A short lecture on the fundamentals of heat transfer and key considerations when applying heat loads and sinks. This is followed by a hands-on workshop related to a relevant industry.

Module 5. Customer Specific Simulation Assessed Live

Finally, delegates can provide their own models to discuss ideas on how to gain insight through simulation.
