Ansys Mechanical Advanced Connections
This course will enable you to achieve and understand simulation analysis with contact, giving you the knowledge for preprocessing full solutions and post-processing.
Description
Following completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Understand the underlying technology and control the solution algorithms used to implement surface-to-surface contact in Ansys Mechanical.
- Demonstrate a general understanding of several specialized contact applications, including bolt pretension, gaskets, surface wear, and others.
- Recognize and correct the most common causes of non-convergence in contact solutions.
- Appreciate the importance of model validation and several techniques that may be used to achieve it.
Prerequisites
- Completion of the ANSYS Mechanical Basic Structural Nonlinearities course is required.
- Students need a working knowledge of the procedures for performing a basic nonlinear static structural analysis in the Mechanical Environment.
- General familiarity with the Workbench Project Page, Engineering Data and the Mechanical Interface is assumed.
