MPMLink BOM Transformation & Process Planning

Participants will be introduced to Windchill MPMLink in the context of Manufacturing Process Management (MPM). They will gain hands-on experience using Windchill's specialized tools to perform the complete transformation from an Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) to a Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM).

The training begins with an overview of view management in Windchill, where participants will learn the purpose of different BOM views and how to concurrently display both the Design View and Manufacturing View of a BOM.

Day 1 focuses on executing the EBOM-to-MBOM transformation using the BOM Transformer. Participants will learn how to leverage visualization data to better understand component consumption within the MBOM. Once the MBOM is constructed, the course covers how to maintain BOM conformity by keeping the MBOM synchronized with any changes made to the EBOM by Design Engineering.

Day 2 focuses on consuming the MBOM into a Windchill Process Plan. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of how to use Windchill’s Process Plan Browser in conjunction with Manufacturing Resources to create detailed work Instructions directly within the PLM environment.
