Reliability Centered Maintenance using ReliaSoft RCM++
Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) provides a structured framework for analysing the functions and potential failures for physical assets, with a focus on preserving system functions, rather than preserving equipment. RCM is used to develop scheduled maintenance plans that will provide an acceptable level of operability, with an acceptable level of risk, in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Description
This 2-day course covers the fundamental RCM framework and key features of ReliaSoft RCM++ with the following aims:
- Enable delegates to apply the RCM process to their own assets in order to identify appropriate maintenance tasks
- Make delegated comfortable entering and recalling records in ReliaSoft RCM++
Attendees will learn the RCM method and have hands-on practice with the ReliaSoft RCM++ software, working with real-world maintenance data examples.
This course aims to enable delegates to:
- Develop a scheduled maintenance plan for a physical asset that will provided an acceptable level of functionality, with an acceptable level of risk, in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Evaluate whether preventive maintenance is appropriate and determine optimum maintenance interval.
- Promote analysis processes that are more efficient and more effective, utilising lessons learned from past analysis when applicable.
It is not intended to provide guidance on any particular standards (e.g., SAE JA1011,1012), but instead covers a general approach that can applied to specific scenarios. Tailored courses are available separately that can cover specific interpretations.
Who Should Attend?
This course is intended for engineers that need to develop maintenance regimes for new and existing assets, and would like to apply the RCM framework to do so.
